…[Rucker and Leonnig are] meticulous journalists, and this taut and terrifying book is among the most closely observed accounts of Donald J. Trump's shambolic tenure in office to date…It reads like a horror story, an almost comic immorality tale. It's as if the president, as patient zero, had bitten an aide and slowly, bite by bite, an entire nation had lost its wits and its compass.

A well written recap of the Trump presidency to date. Anyone who has been following the news will know most of this information and will have already made up their mind. I found the level of detail, and seeing the chronology all in one book very helpful in understanding the individual players in this White House drama. I doubt this book will change anyone's minds (note the different reviews) but it is a worthwhile read. Highly recommended.

This is a good overview of President Donald Trump's ethically problematic conduct during his first three years in office as viewed by key figures in his cabinet. It's nothing that anyone who's been following reputable news sources wouldn't already know but it's a decent primer for how the stage was set for his 2019 impeachment, with Trump acting like a classic narcissistic manager faking his way through a job he's entirely unqualified for, taking all the credit while using, destroying and abandoning a series of masochistic enablers.

Excellent book written fairly and evenly. It's also a depressing story about the totally unhinged man running this country.
